At Guernsey’s recent STEP Conference we ruthlessly lured Trust professionals to our stand with the promise of sweeties and whilst they were picking ’n’ mixing’ we picked their brains for their experiences of the TCSP software they used.

We like to talk to the end users of our software because they experience it day-to-day and can offer valuable opinions on how it performs, on extra features we can add or enhancements we can make, all of which helps us continuously improve.

We came away with very positive feedback for our Acumen suite of products, and some really interesting suggestions of updates we can make.

Of course, shocking as it may seem to us, not everyone uses Vega's products and we also got a lot of feedback on other systems. We aren't going to name names, but we were surprised by the number of administrators who expressed dissatisfaction with most of the grumblings coming from those on older unsupported products.

. Here are a just few of the comments: "We hate it, it's like an old wardrobe stuffed full of things you don’t need." "It causes hours of downtime." "We have to keep and process thousands of old reports." "It has taken months and months to migrate to, its hopeless." "Not impressed. Don’t like it ’too layered’ have to go through lots of unnecessary processes to achieve one thing.”

“We just can’t get hold of anyone to help us” There was a lot of frustration from people who felt that they were being prevented from doing their jobs efficiently but didn’t feel they were able to flag it up.

So, if you are responsible for your business’ TCSP Admin software, perhaps it’s worth your while asking your team just how well it works for them on a day-to-day basis. And, if the answer is that it doesn’t, then please contact us!
